Lucy is a 7 year old Shih Tzu that we rescued from the pound. Lucy does well with older children-I will not place her in a home with little kids. I am certain she would bite/nip a younger child (i.e.=pulling hair/ears/tail/legs Not because she is mean.) Lucy does alright with other dogs she needs more socializing. No puppies-she is past the puppy stage and she has made this point very clear. We don't know how she would be with cats??? She is potty trained!!! Email mnjensen@mtaonline.net

I have mom (Buffy) and son (Casper) cockers that need a new home. Mom, 11yrs (Blonde), Son, 8 yrs (tan) both are fixed, and have there shots. Moving out of state and can't take pets. Both were groomed when we left Texas in July 2009, but needs a good grooming when it warms up. Both are healthy, son more than mom, fat and sassy. Very loved and well taken care of. Hi this is Trixie 5 yrs. (brown) and her buddy Lucky 3 yrs. (orange). They were abused and dumped at a truck stop in Texas and was rescued by us and we moved to Palmer. We have had them for 2 1/2 yrs. We are being transfered back to Texas and not allowed pets. They are house broken, shots, spayed, neutered, healthy, spoiled and very loved. When there owners are not in bed they are. They have been raised with other dogs and cats.

Oscar is a 3 year old black Lab/Boxer mix. He is very active and liked to play fetch or chase. He needs a family who can spend a lot of time with him and has a fenced yard or somewhere safe that he can roam. He gets along great with other dogs and likes to "play" with the cat. JD (Just Dog) is a nearly 2 year old 3/4 Lab 1/4 Rhodesian Ridgeback mix male. He is full of life and energy and has an amazing desire to please. We have had JD since he was 7 weeks old but recently he is proving to be uncompatable with younger kids and since we have a 3 month old daughter, we'd rather be safe than sorry. He would do best to go to a family with older kids (8+) or none at all. He also is in need of an active pack leader with a strong personality. He knows the basic commands but struggles sometimes with "come". He also knows some commands beyond the basic ones. PJ 1-26-10

PJ is almost 7yrs old and has lived with the same family for his entire life. However, now he needs a new home. He is house trained and kennel-trained. He is more like a cat, mostly quiet and content to just be curled on your lap or some place warm. He is completely healthy-neutered, shots up to date. This is a female, her name is Nos. She is a 4 year old pit bull mix, she is Awesome with children, probably best with kids over the age of 4 because she gets very exited easily. She gets along with most dogs, but will have to be introduced before hand. She is spayed and trained, she knows sit, stay, lay,house trained, and can speak. We need to find a good home for her because we can no longer keep her. I don't want her chained up outside. She is very loving and overall just a really great dog!! Bella has lost her way and needs help getting home. One distinguishing feature is that she has a brown nose. If you see this dog please call Shannon or Brent at 868-5286 or Kathy @ 351-0514. The last sighting was on 10/24/09 near Anchorage Baptist Temple but could be anywhere by now.

I am looking for a good home for my dog Cotton. She is a 3 year old, spayed perhaps husky or american eskimo. I can take her food or treat right out of her mouth with no problem. She loves to run. If she can get out the front door she will be gone up the road and may run after the neighbor mowing his lawn, barking at him. She tries to pull people by their pant leg or shoe laces. Her intent is to play and run but it can't be a bit intimidating for folks.Her strong points are her sweet nature and high energy level. Burton is a gorgeous nine year old spayed Rottweiler mix (with husky we think). She is a really sweet girl who needs a home without little kids around. We adopted her eight years ago but as she is getting older and since we lost her companion to old age she is not very patient with our kids. She is fantastic in the house, loves to be with her (adult) people and would do best with another dog who loves to play. She has the softest ears ever and is content to sit for hours while you pet them so she isn't hyper or overactive. She knows her basic commands, knows how to heel on leash, does not require crating in the house (won't even touch food left on the coffee table), and needs a securely fenced yard but is not a digger. She requires Canine k/d dog food, is microchipped and current on all vaccines. BTW she was named Burton by her first owners - teenaged boys who were into snowboarding. Sherpa is a 3 year old Newfie/Lab mix and weighs 67lbs. She is very well behaved in the house and is completely potty and kennel trained. She is extremely tolerant of children, I have a 1 year old and a 3 and a half year old which she lets crawl all over her with no fuss at all. She really needs a fenced in back yard as she is a bit of a free spirit and loves to run. Would do well in an active family that can give her lots of exercise. Call Melissa at 947-9957
